Waxing FAQ

(Frequently Asking Question)

What is waxing and how does it work?

Waxing is a non-permanent hair removal method, which removes hair from the root.

Why should I choose waxing over other non-permanent hair removal methods?

Waxing is highly affordable and it last longer (3 - 6 weeks) as compared to other hair removal methods such as shaving. Waxing also works as a gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and leave your skin soft and supple.

What is Brazilian or Boyzilian Wax?

Brazilian waxing is the depilation of hair from your pubic area. It takes a skilled therapist to remove the hair around your anus, perineum and vagina. A Boyzilian wax is the male version of a Brazilian Wax including the anus, scrotum, perineum and penis.

There will be some level of discomfort, especially if it’s your first time, however, it is tolerable. But not to fear, to make your first waxing experience the most comfortable experience ever, TriBeCa will provide you with all the necessary information for the first timer.

How long does a Brazilian or Boyzilian Wax take?

It takes approximately 15 - 45 minutes for a service to be completed, depending on the amount of hair growth as well as your pain threshold.

How often can I get a Brazilian or Boyzilian Wax?

You can go for a Brazilian or Boyzilian Wax when there is as short as 1mm hair length and as long as you’re not menstruating. Typically, most people will have their service done between 3 - 4 weeks from their last service.

What if I am pregnant?

It is best to consult with your doctor first before you have your service done, but it is generally safe to wax after your first trimester. Although there will be an increase in sensitivity while pregnant.
